Emma Walton

Owner, Director and Head Coach

Emma Walton is the proud Director and Founder of Sapphire Dance Company. Based in Brisbane, Australia, Emma's vibrant teaching and choreographic style is grounded in over two decades of diverse performance and training experience across dance and gymnastics.

 

Emma holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Dance Performance) with Distinction and a Masters of Teaching (Secondary) from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT).

 

She is a Royal Academy of Dance Registered Teacher, Intermediate Womens Artistic Gymnastics Coach and Gymnastics Judge, bringing a high level of technical knowledge and discipline to her students.

Her dance training spans ballet (RAD and Comdance), jazz (Comdance), lyrical, contemporary, Allstar pom, hip hop, acro, and tap, with high level exam achievements including RAD Advanced 2 and Comdance Premier Danseur.

​

With over thirteen years of national - level experience in artistic gymnastics, Emma achieved Level 10 in 2019, and her journey has included international training opportunities, such as attending the International Gymnastics Camp in the USA, and even appearing in two movies.

​

Emma is passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment where every dancer can thrive. Her mission through Sapphire Dance Company is to empower young performers to build confidence, creativity, and resilience through the joy of movement.
